Phone recycling booths!

I’ve been threatening to buy a new mobile phone for ages, and have been in love with a particular phone since last year. So just to check things out, my boyfriend and I headed to Greenhills last weekend to see what they have and how much phones cost these days. And we stumbled onto this booth. You can dump your old phones, batteries, chargers, and faceplates in there for recycling. Nokia has a separate booth not too far away from this one. A really nice effort, in my opinion, though it also makes me think that people can just dump their phones here so they can get new ones in the nearby shops.

In case you’re wondering, no, I didn’t buy a phone, and I think I’ve gotten that out of my system. Mine is still perfectly good and functional, and it’s waterproof and tough as anything, too. Call that striking a blow in the fight against e-waste!
