Denver, Colorado Mayor John Hickenlooper led the charge on Thursday, launching workshops, entitled “Going Green! Improving your Restaurant’s Environmental Practices,” that aim to help local restaurants reduce their environmental impact.
Greening experts from Subway, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Food Services Technology Center, as well as local leaders from Centerplate, Odell Brewing Company, Ted’s Montana Grill, Beau Jo’s and Chipotle, helped participants create a green action plan for their companies and certify themselves as green businesses on the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee’s Vendor Directory.
