The Guardian has a pretty solid and informative Environment news section right now, but they’re out to become even better. They’re looking for a website editor to oversee the section’s revamp, and they need
an inventive, organised journalist with a track record in the subject with proven experience of editing on or running a website. He or she will have strong ideas about how to build a community around the Guardian’s environment site and how to encourage users to generate content, as well as some experience with multimedia content. He or she will be as comfortable collaborating with experienced print correspondents as with our web developers, specialist bloggers and partner sites. The successful candidate will have compelling, original ideas about how to engage readers with some of the most critical issues of our time, as well as strong ideas about the use of applications and non journalistic content.
