Matthias Sauerbruch and Louisa Hutton are behind the team working to renovate the Brandhorst Museum in Berlin, and it looks like their work is proving to the world that sustainable can be stylish.
The Brandhorst Museum will house an important collection of late 20th century and contemporary art donated by the Brandhorst family. Sauerbruch Hutton’s integrated approach means that traditional green problems, like trying to minimize energy use, overlap in their minds with larger architectural concerns.
The building will also make great use of natural light as well as innovative heating and cooling systems.
