Ice ice baby

A 160 square mile chunk of Western Antarctic ice has finally collapsedafter it started disintegrating on 28 February. It was on the edge of the Wilkins ice shelf for probably 1,500 years. The ice shelf is about the size of the state of Connecticut and now only a narrow beam of thin ice is holding it together. Scientists say that such collapses are happening more frequently due to global warming. We all need to stop, collaborate and listen to prevent further climate change and its disastrous consequences.
