Sony took a beating in last year’s Greenpeace report on the green efforts of the top electronics companies, and clearly, the company felt the sting. This year, they’re doing a lot better, with some Sony Ericsson phones and a Vaio ranking decently in the organization’s electronics guide. They’re trying to step up their efforts, however. The Graphic Splash Eco Edition promises to be a lot more eco-friendly by offering the following features:
Slim design for minimum use of natural resources Easy-to-recycle materials for resource conservation Packaging comprised primarily of recyclable materials RoHS compliant components—free of lead and other hazardous materials
Glad to see they didn’t limit themselves to simply flaunting designs inspired by nature and that they actually took steps to make the laptop more environmentally friendly.
