My sister already posted about GeekSugar.com‘s post “94% of Americans Think Movie Downloads Are More Eco“. But it gave me a reason to pause and think about how we get the movies we watch.
We used to go to Blockbuster, which required a 2-mile drive to the store and another 2-mile drive back home, a total of 4 miles traveled just to watch movies. Then my husband switched to Netflix. Now he downloads movies. We rarely go to movie houses anymore, unless it’s really a must-see movie.
It just seemed like an inevitable progression of things. I’ve got to admit, we weren’t really thinking of the environment at the time of the switch to online downloading. It was more a matter of convenience. At least, now it’s an eco-friendly move as well.
