Green burials

As the Philippines mourns the loss of its democracy icon, former President Cory Aquino, I got to thinking about death and burial practices again. I read about eco-friendly coffins made from banana sheaves by a Colorado-based company called Ecoffins. The caskets take about 6 months to 2 years to biodegrade.
