What’s included in their grand prize package valued at $36,000?
- five Promethean interactive whiteboards (ActivBoards),
- five sets of Promethean Learner Response Systems (ActivExpressions),
- 30 subscriptions to National Geographic Kids magazine, and
- up to $1,000 in National Geographic educational materials
These second graders from Springdale, AK deserve much kudos from us adults. Here’s a summary of their call to action:
“Our proposal is to reduce our carbon footprint by reusing containers in our school lunches. In addition, our school has incorporated recycling and reducing through lights off, doors closed, paper and water conservation, and general recycling throughout the school building. Our students have responded to our proposal wholeheartedly by bringing washable containers for drinks and lunches. Our end result will be to preserve not just the future of our students, but the future of all!”
Here’s the winning entry.
Congratulations, Walker Elementary School, from the Green Unlimited team!
